Dame Sarah Elisabeth Mullally (née Bowser; born 1962) is an English Anglican prelate and former nurse. She has been the bishop of London since 2018, and is the first woman to hold this office. By virtue of her office she is also a Lord Spiritual, one of the 26 Church of England bishops who sit in the House of Lords of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. Speaking from Canterbury Cathedral on Friday, she said that "in an age that craves certainty and tribalism, Anglicanism offers something quieter but stronger".
